Facilities Services
BIA can assess existing systems and assist in the design and implementation of customized facilities management applications. Our engineers assess needs and develop implementation plans for the management and operation of buildings, campuses, and infrastructure. BIA also assists with the design and implementation of customized FM applications. These create budget forecasts using commercially available software for scheduling maintenance and tracking leasable space.
-
Preventive Maintenance Programs
BIA engineers develop an ongoing schedule of maintenance activities for a facility or system. These are designed to maximize the performance and lifetime of the facility or system, while minimizing unplanned and costly emergency repairs.
-
Life-cycle/Cost-benefit Analysis
BIA engineers conduct trade-off studies of alternative systems or equipment. These studies present the short-term and long-term benefits and financial impacts for the project owner.
-
Plan Archiving
BIA staff converts paper plans and documents into electronic files. These are organized into folders on a CD in a format that can be easily accessed on a desktop computer - and from which paper copies can be printed. This service provides ease of access as well as long-term preservation and protection of valuable paper-based information. Back-up copies can be stored at a trusted off-site location.
