The Dan Schantz Greenhouse and Cut Flower Outlet is well-known in the Lehigh Valley. The plants and flowers grown by the Schantz family on their farm south of Allentown are always in demand--especially during the holidays--and Schantz plants are favored for landscapes and homes throughout the region. After many years, the sales outlet the company occupied finally became too small to meet public demand in peak sales seasons. In 2002, the company retained BIA to design a new, expanded 32,000-square-foot retail and greenhouse facility. BIA provided the site design and permitting, structural design of the foundations for pre-engineered buildings, HVAC, plumbing, electrical design, and interior and exterior lighting design.
