The Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley (CACLV) received a PennDOT Transportation Enhancements award for streetscape improvements to the 600 block of Northampton Street. The block, a mix of residential and commerical development, is in transition as property owners begin the process of renovation and adaptive reuse. Working with the West Ward Neighborhood Partnership, BIA developed concept design plans that provided a complete streetscape. The final construction plans were developed to be implemented in phases to accomodate construction funding.The project includes ornamental street lighting, stamped crosswalks, unit pavers, street trees, and new handicap ramps. BIA conducted an extensive site inventory to determine areas for sidewalk and curb replacement site inventory completed by BIA.
