As a consultant to North Star Construction Management Company/Polaris, BIA provided full land development/site design for the 30-acre Integrated Health Campus that straddles two municipalities in Allentown, PA. The campus includes a three-story surgical center and a two-story structure containing two medical office buildings (65,000 SF and 235,000 SF), fitness center, rehabilitation center, ambulatory center, day spa, and food court. The two primary occupants are OAA Orthopaedic Specialists and the Human Performance Center.
In coordination with South Whitehall and Upper Macungie Townships, PennDOT, PA DEP, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and the local conservation districit, our design included associated parking, driveway access, and landscaping. BIA also provided stormwater management design and coordination of public utilities. As part of the site access portion of the project, BIA "performed hydraulic modeling of the existing watercourse and determined appropriate size for culvert crossing."
