Values in Action

Isett's values of Service, Team, Ownership and Balance have all been evident in Senior Project Manager Paul Schmoll. With nominations from Karl Leitner and Rich Fain, Paul is our winner for March! Paul's support to Karl over the last month as he prepares for his Professional Engineer test has been a great help to Karl. By limiting some of Karl's workload in the Delaware Valley office and allowing him to work out of the Greater Berks office as much as possible, Karl has been able to spend more time studying and staying focused. In addition to this example, Paul is also credited for always being willing to go the extra mile for other Isett associates, as well as clients. Rich has noted that during his performance at township and borough meetings, Paul is confident and professional—taking ownership of his work and responsibilities.

Paul has been working for Isett since 2011: his daily responsibilities change from day to day—or even hour to hour. Like many others, he wears many hats and it's the variety that keeps the job interesting for Paul. The first hour, he might be the engineer for Trappe, reviewing plans; making site visits; or addressing concerns with residents. The next, he is a project manager, preparing the design or coordinating the project among multiple disciplines. Other times, Paul is preparing proposals or discussing opportunities with the Marketing Department. What Paul really enjoys about his job though—are the people! The culture here promotes a mom and pop feel, where associates aren't just a number! He likes being able to joke around and finds that everyone works well together.
