Lower Merion School District Awarded USDOE Green Ribbon School

The Lower Merion School District was one of just 14 school districts nationwide to be honored at a June ceremony organized by the United States Department of Education in celebration of the first-ever Green Ribbon Schools District Sustainability Award program. The only district to be so honored in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Lower Merion was selected for its exemplary efforts to reduce environmental impact and utility costs, promote better health, and ensure effective environmental education, including civics, STEM, and green career pathways. Isett has been the District’s Engineer of Record since 2004, and was the site/civil engineer in the design of Harriton High School and Lower Merion High School, both of which were designed to achieve LEED certification by KCBA Architects.
