Isett is proud to be a part of the Lehigh Valley CANstruction initiative for the fifth year in a row, organized locally by The American Institute of Architects, Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter (AIA-EPA) and the Construction Specifications Institute, Allentown Chapter (CSI). The food used in these can-structures are donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania.
This year, Team ISETT CAN! took on the challenge of constructing the world’s largest land-animal — the elephant. Did you know that elephants spend 80% of their day eating? Like Second Food Harvest Food Bank, elephants also understand the importance of a full belly. Consisting of a variety of beans, tomato sauce and bamboo, this canstructure emulates an elephant’s daily routine — exploring the landscape and enjoying the local watering hole.
