Values in Action

With nominations for Service, Team and Ownership—Ashley Eichlin is May's winner for the Values in Action! Ashley was recognized for spearheading this year's Volunteer Challenge with "enthusiasm and zeal." She took ownership of designing and obtaining materials for the project and did a fantastic job organizing and coordinating a team to finalize the garden. She inspired associates from other offices to join the effort and kept everyone motivated throughout the whole event—even in the pouring rain. "You could clearly tell how dedicated and passionate she was about cleaning up and brightening this space in inner city Allentown for the residents to use." Ashley greeted the passersby with a smile as they stopped to check out the action. Ashley was also nominated for her assistance with a different garden project for the Delaware Valley office, where she volunteered to work with Christine Mildner in planning the layout. "She's a remarkable and talented young woman." "Isett should be very proud to have her on staff"—and we are!

It's with warm and fuzzy feelings that Ashley is grateful for all the kind words in these nominations. She is also thankful for the individuals who helped make the Hospitality House project possible this year—words cannot express her appreciation for her fantastic helpers. Each person who assisted with the project was integral to the final product, and she is looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labor once the landscape matures. June marked one year since Ashley joined the Isett family and she couldn't be happier! She definitely was not expecting to get so involved in all these community service opportunities but each volunteer project has been such a great experience, and she is excited to see what the future holds. Now that the Volunteer Challenge has ended, she plans to help with CANstruction and the Party Planning Committee for our summer picnic. When Ashley isn't volunteering, she is busy working alongside Bryan Smith and Christine Mildner in the Municipal Department. Some of her responsibilities include designing landscape plans; creating photo montage renderings; and creating construction document plan sets. She has learned so much in such a short period of time—with quite a few laughs along the way! It's for these reasons that she looks forward to going to work in the morning.
