Demonstrating Isett’s Team and Balance values, Amanda Sprague is April’s Values in Action winner! Since joining us full time last year, Amanda has made a positive impact on the culture of the Delaware Valley office. She’s been the key driver of several social events—including the most recent after-hours event at Top Golf, which brought team members together from different departments. She was also part of the Isett team in Habitat for Humanity’s She Nailed It! Competition.
As a Staff Engineer/Designer for our Civil team, Amanda works on stormwater management and erosion and sedimentation control designs; she prepares reports and submission documents; and completes ordinance reviews. She is currently involved with the stormwater design for a new borough hall and public works building in Spring City. She is also preparing NPDES documents for Bethlehem Earth—a regulated fill site—as well as a stormwater management report for the Reading Area Community College student union building expansion. Amanda really enjoys the team atmosphere at Isett—whether it’s the day-to-day work or out-of-office events, there’s a strong sense of support. She feels comfortable asking questions within and outside of her department. Everyone is always willing to help. An example of the team spirit that really stood out to her was during the She Nailed It! Competition: despite the pouring rain, not only did the team show up with enthusiasm—but colleagues from across the company also came out to support and cheer them on. Amanda enjoys having the opportunity to learn more about the industry and grow her professional career. She is looking forward to seeing projects she’s worked on come to life.
