Isett’s Kyra Named Lehigh Valley Woman of Influence

Kimberli B. Kyra, PHR, Human Resources Director of Barry Isett & Associates, Inc., was named a Woman of Influence by Lehigh Valley Business. Ms. Kyra has been chosen among 27 professionals for their impacts to their companies, industries and communities.

Ms. Kyra has had a significant role in the growth of the company since her arrival in 1997. At that time, Isett employed 70 associates across two offices. As the lead person in the firm’s Human Resources department since 1999, she has been instrumental in the company’s growth and has had a role in the recruitment, interview, and onboarding of every Isett employee in the last 21 years. Ms. Kyra is the “face of Isett” at annual career fairs and is the first Isett associate a candidate encounters during the recruitment process. In addition to her focus on recruitment, she maintains all records on professional/personal development, continuing education, and related budgets; manages enrollments, changes, and terminations related to employee benefits; and maintains the employee handbook, position descriptions, and employee performance evaluations.

Until recently, Ms. Kyra has overseen the HR processes as a one-person department and has managed her responsibilities with efficiency and focus. She serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Team and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) committee, and as an advisory member of Isett’s committees on Health & Safety and 401(k) plan. Barry Isett & Associates has been recognized over the years for its positive company culture and strong employee-retention rates.

When asked about her achievements, Ms. Kyra said, “My role allows me to act as coach to my fellow associates and contribute to their personal growth, professional accomplishments, and understanding of benefits/insurance issues. In turn, this results in the success of the firm.”

Outside of Isett, Ms. Kyra and her husband, Steve, are the parents to three who are involved in several athletic teams through the Saucon Valley Youth Sports Association. “Volunteering with my children’s sports teams and our church community allows me to be an active contributor to the overall success of an organization,” she said.

Isett’s Kyra Named Lehigh Valley Woman of Influence

Prior to joining Isett, Ms. Kyra spent eight years in the banking industry as a credit analyst in commercial lending and as a personal banker. During that time, she completed her MBA at Moravian College. Her roles were mostly non-monetary, and she found the engagement with customers to be rewarding and was drawn to the training elements of her work. The combination of these factors prompted Ms. Kyra’s interest in pursuing her Professional in Human Resources® (PHR) certification. Isett is guided by four values – Team, Ownership, Balance and Service; Ms. Kyra exemplifies these values every day and her positive influence on the firm is evident.

Lehigh Valley Business will be recognizing the 2020 Women of Influence on Monday, June 15.
