As a member of the Executive Leadership Team at New Tripoli Bank, John M. Hayes leads this community bank of New Tripoli, PA, in lending, business development, and loan operations initiatives.
He has 30 years of banking and financial services experience, working with a broad base of individual and corporate clients. Prior to joining New Tripoli Bank in 2016, he was the President of AFC First Financial Corporation from 2006 to 2016, which is a national leader in residential energy efficiency and renewable lending programs. From 1998 to 2006 he was the Executive Vice President of East Penn Bank and President of East Penn Mortgage Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the bank. He is a current external member of the Board of Directors and a company shareholder.
Among his civic activities, Mr. Hayes serves as President of the Board of Housing Association & Development Corporation, a non-profit organization that works to revitalize neighborhoods through the development of affordable housing, employment, job training, and community development initiatives. He is a member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors, Executive Committee, Public Policy Committee, Audit Committee (Board Chair), and Energy/Environment Committee (Chair and Founder); and Emmaus Main Street Partners (Board Chair). He also serves on the Upper Milford Township Pension Board and is the Township’s Vacancy Board Chair.
