Sean Burn, PG, EIT, joined Barry Isett & Associates in 2015 as a member of the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) department and moved to the Geotechnical Engineering department in 2017. In 2025, he was named head of the Geotechnical Engineering Department in 2025. In his role, Mr. Burns is responsible for all geotechnical operations and the supervision the department staff.
Operational responsibilities include resource management, quality control, business development, and supervision of department staff. Technical responsibilities include project management, field investigations, construction oversight, and providing recommendations for geotechnical design parameters. Mr. Burns is experienced in developing design and construction solutions for geotechnically complex sites, and providing oversight of ground improvement methods and deep foundation construction.
