April showers bring May flowers, but the month of April also is the annual Stream Clean Up hosted by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy. Established in 1964, the Conservancy is dedicated to conserve and protect the natural resources across the 362 square miles of the Watershed. This area includes 55 municipalities in Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, and Montgomery Counties.
Each spring, the PWC and more than 1,600 volunteers come together to help clean up more than 125 sites across the Watershed. The Isett team has been a regular supporter of the Stream Clean Up and 2022 was no exception. Our group came together on Friday April 1 in the area around Cranberry Park, Collegeville. We were able to collect several large bags of trash, building materials, along with a tire found in our clean-up area.
The PWC is tallying the figures from this year’s clean up and expects this year to be another record breaker.
