Governor’s Residence Restoration
Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. (Isett) was engaged by the project architect to provide engineering design and construction management services for fire protection upgrades at the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. These upgrades were undertaken in response to heightened security concerns and the need to strengthen fire protection measures at the residence following an arson attack in April 2025.
The project involves the installation of a new fire protection water supply line, meter, and vault, extending from Maclay Street to the residence. Site surveying and coordination with local authorities ensured that the design met all regulatory requirements and integrated seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
As construction continues, Isett is providing oversight to ensure quality and compliance. The improvements enhanced the safety and resilience of the Governor’s Residence, supporting its ongoing role as a secure and functional state facility.
