Andrew (AJ) Schwartz joined Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. in 2015 as an early member of the Geotechnical, Construction Inspections & Materials Testing Department. Before joining our firm, Mr. Schwartz worked within the construction industry at multiple levels. Upon joining Isett, his mission on projects was to inspect, test and monitor construction—working closely with clients, contractors, and engineers to confirm that building elements are installed according to approved plans and that materials meet specifications. Through detailed reports and timely communication, Mr. Schwartz’s inspections established a seamless working relationship with the project team and become an integral part of construction to meet the project schedule. Most notably, Mr. Schwartz earned the ICC structural steel, bolting, and welding certifications, allowing Isett to offer the full scope of special inspections under one roof.
In 2021, Mr. Schwartz was promoted to the head of the Construction Materials Testing Department when Geotechnical Engineering spun off into a department of its own. He is responsible for coordination of clients, scheduling staff, and quality control and assurance.
Mr. Schwartz was elected by fellow shareholders to serve on the Isett Board of Directors in 2021.
