Congratulations to Administrative Assistant Anissah Baht-Tom for being our Values in Action winner for April! Anissah was recognized by her peers for demonstrating Isett’s Service and Team values. She has taken on a new responsibility, becoming the go-to person for PennBid and bid packages in the northeast. Anissah has really embraced the process and is doing a great job handling the projects in her region. She’s a quick learner and isn’t afraid to try things on her own or ask questions if needed and adding this to her plate has been a great help to her team. Right now, Anissah mainly handles packages for Municipal projects and Environmental Phase I reports, recently completing reports for the Catawissa Municipal Building ADA Improvements, the Ridge Road Culvert Replacement, and 1115 American Parkway Phase I ESA. Not only does she enjoy reading through the packages, but it’s been a great way for her to learn more about the departments.
In her administrative role, she maintains order within the office—caring for the supplies and the building’s facilities—making sure all colleagues are happy. She is also responsible for formatting proposals, answering calls, sorting and prepping the mail, running errands, vehicle maintenance, and more. Her favorite part of the job might come as a surprise because it tends to be others’ least favorite, but she very much enjoys the tedious work. Things like formatting, paperwork, beautifying documents, adding just the right touch are fun and gratifying to her—which is why she’s happy to jump into the big, bad world of bid packages! Anissah has been working at Isett for almost two years now and has repeatedly said to herself how grateful she is to work for a company where teamwork doesn’t come in cliques. Everyone is friendly and open to help, listen, and support—having the opportunity to be a part of that unit is something that makes coming to work worthwhile.
